4. Resin filter element of water purifier the biggest feature of resin filter element is to soften hard water by ion exchange and remove calcium and magnesium ions. Therefore, the resin filter element is mostly used in water softeners.
5. Ultrafiltration membrane (UF) of water purifier
The ultrafiltration membrane filter element is aimed at: bacteria in water and colloids, rust, suspended solids, sediment and macromolecular organic matter with much larger volume than bacteria can be intercepted by ultrafiltration membrane. It is generally used in the third stage of water purifier. The filtering accuracy is up to 0.01 μ m.
6. Reverse osmosis membrane (RO) of water purifier
Because the pore diameter of the reverse osmosis membrane (RO) filter element is very small, only clean water molecules can pass through, and other bacteria, viruses and heavy metal ions will be intercepted by it, with a filtration accuracy of 0.0001 μ m.
Of course, in order to prolong the service life of RO membrane, pretreatment such as filtration of PP cotton and activated carbon shall be carried out. RO membrane is generally used at the fourth level.
